Bali blends a spectacular mountain scenery, emerald-green rice terraces and a deeply spiritual and unique culture with warm and friendly people. The small volcanic island of Bali has one of the highest biodiversity of marine species which makes it a famous diving destination. In the south is the busy Kuta, which is famous among young partying Australians while Sanur tends to appeal more middle-aged families, and has plenty of restaurants and accommodation. Seminyak is the more sophisticated and laid-back of the three. Bali’s major cultural and spiritual destination is Ubud. A village that has plenty of organic restaurants and bars that serve you the best savory dishes you can think of and art-and-craft galleries on every corner. More to the north it becomes less touristy and the landscape shifts to green mountains dotted with rice fields. It is home to the highest mountain of Bali, Mount Agung. This area is also home to the famous world heritage site, the rice fields of Jatiluwih, situated 700 meters above sea level, and surrounded by mountains and tropical forests. Bali is a perfect gathering of all the beauty Indonesia has to offer.
