Stay With A Local Family in East Tanzania

This Tanzania homestay experience will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in local Tanzanian village life. You have the chance to spend the night (or more) with a local family near Bukoba. You can join in their daily activities like fetching water from the spring, work on the shamba (farm), learn to cook local food, and of course eat your self prepared food and drink their local beer/wine. Some of the families also do beekeeping, tree planting, or support the orphanage in the village.

You will also have the chance to see their local spices like vanilla, lemongrass, coffee, sweet banana, avocado, and pineapple plantations. In case you would like to support the local community, you can donate any of the following: exercise books, textbooks, school fees, school uniforms, or drawing pencils.

About Me

Hi, my name is William. I am passionate about traveling and giving back to my community, so I decided to start my own organization over ten years ago, focusing on Community Based Tourism and supporting local families. At the moment, we work with 11 different families, and my goal is to let you experience our culture and share more about yours. We hope that you decide to visit us as our guest one day!
