Jewelry Workshop with Local Kenyan Women

We are a community organization of eleven women who live in Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Africa's largest slum. Most of us are HIV positive, and due to Abdul's initiative, we are now able to generate income for our families that make our lives a bit more bearable.

We make different types of jewelry, from bracelets, earrings, necklaces, bags to key cords. At our art workshop, we also have our little shop where we sell our self-made handicrafts.

We will teach you how to make local jewelry and create your own artwork during this two-hour workshop. Of course, you can take your art piece home afterward as a beautiful memory of Kenya!

About Me

My name is Beth and I am part of an NGO that creates opportunities for children in The Gambia. We've set up a cultural and educational center where workshops are offered and creativity supported. We also run a farm where disabled people work, and we have created a couple of travel experiences to dive deeper into the Gambian culture.
