Dharavi is one of India's largest slums. It is one of the largest, but it is the home of many small-scale industries in Mumbai. Dharavi's industries have an annual turnover of approximately US$ 665 million. During this Mumbai tour, you will see and experience these small industries. You will see businesses like recycling, pottery-making, embroidery, bakery, soap factory, leather tanning, poppadom making, and many more. Most of these things are created in innovative ways and in tiny spaces!
Walking through Dharavi's small alleys will give you a real sense of this community and provide you with a unique, local experience. Watch artisans create all types of pots out of unfired, sun-dried clay or see the local women make fresh poppadoms.
By going on one of our tours, you will contribute directly to our sister organization's work, a nonprofit organization. We run some educational projects ourselves in the Dharavi area, but we also support other NGOs (charities) doing great work in the same community.
Brilliant guide. and a highlight to our visit to Mumbai. Highly recommend. We got a different perspective on the life of many locals. We felt safe at all times.

Hello, we are a group of local guides from all over Mumbai. We love to meet people from around the world while having a positive impact on our community. Some of us are still studying, while others use this job to support the family or save money to start their own business or future study.
