Camp at the Foot of the Loita Hills

Around an hour's drive from Narok in the direction of the main gate of the famous Maasai Mara, you will find our camp, which is built at the foot of the Loita Hills with amazing views.

This place is not standard and far away from the tourist crowds. My main goal to build this camp was to show people something authentic and share our world with curious travelers.

We have various things to do at the camp. One of my community members or I can take you for a nature walk while explaining how we use nature for our local medicines. If you wish, you can also get warrior training to teach you how we, Maasai, survive in the wilderness. Women in our village can teach you how to make the local beadings, wood carving, or you can visit a local home to get an idea of what life in our village is like.

You can relax at our veranda with an incredible 360-degree view of the Loita Hills or the lower plains in the afternoon or evening. We can share stories at the campfire, and you can enjoy some delicious authentic and home-cooked meals.

There are many things to see and explore and for the true adventurers among you. We can take you on a bush expedition for two days or more. We can also arrange game drives to the Maasai Mara or in our won area.

We have several spacious tents with thatched roofs to provide some shade. Our restrooms are made traditionally with mud and natural materials. We have put our very best to make our place a comfortable and cozy place to stay.

I hope to see you soon!

We stayed at the camp for the weekend and it was just great! So different from other camps we have been in Kenya. The staff was very friendly and really nice, a very natural approach to help you (not like many other camps in Kenya where you feel you are being 'processed'). Very interesting to meet with the Maasai people and a great learning experience (also for our kids). Will definitely go back there!

The Netherlands

I've never felt so welcomed in my life. Sankale and the rest of the staff are very kind and take wonderful care of the guests and each detail. The tents are basic but feel luxurious and very comfortable. Washroom facilities are eco-friendly and very beautiful. The Maasai openly share their culture and traditions in such a generous way. I feel like I've learned so much. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
