A Nice Glimpse of Hanoi: Photography Tour Half Day

Description

We set out for Hanoi's best photography spots with cameras in hand – capturing scenes that only a local would think about. We'll take images of many of Hanoi's icons, including the fantastically ornate Old Quarter's oldest house, the turn of the century Opera House, the Temple of Literature, and then photograph the activities at Dong Xuan Market, Long Bien Bridge, some religious sites including the Bach Ma Temple and the turtle temple in the middle of Hanoi Sword Lake.

You will be introduced to different techniques relative to street photography and put them into practice by capturing street vendors and passersby going about their daily activities. You will learn to "see" the street from a different angle, looking for the right light and anticipating your shots by working on your camera settings and composition in advance.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi to visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. This is a rare example of remarkably well-preserved Vietnamese architecture. Consisting of five courtyards, it is a welcome retreat from the frenetic streets of Hanoi and will give us a gentle introduction to the city. Get back to the Hanoi Old Quarter with a stop at Hanoi Opera House en route.

Visit Dong Xuan Market, where you will be able to see the sellers and vendors in action. We will then walk through the market with an incredible atmosphere and find it an excellent opportunity to meet with the local crowd, share some friendly moments and shoot some authentic portraits. We'll then stop by Long Bien Bridge, which is an unexpected sight just 10 minutes away from Dong Xuan. We'll also visit a beautiful temple (Bach Ma) and an ancient house, where we will help you perfect your exposure technique in dealing with various light ambiances.

We will visit Hanoi's railway tracks for the sunset and daily life activities shots in the late afternoon. This is very peculiar to this city as the railway tracks are sometimes located meters away from the entrance door of houses, thus offering some unique photographic opportunities! We will walk along the railway tracks and take some of the most beautiful pictures to be found in the city. Finally, we will be back to Hoan Kiem Lake for a beautiful moment of local people great chance to take photos of the local people finishing off their busy day by practicing tai chi, aerobics, and all manner of exotic practices.

After our exciting half-day Hanoi photography tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel in the Old Quarter Hanoi area.
