We opened our doors in the summer of 2012 with the dream of helping the struggling fishing village community through employment and funding of which Thuan grew up amongst. The life of these villagers is harsh. Many are fishermen and have little choice but to go out to sea in the roughest conditions. Every year many are lost at sea leaving generations of families without the means to survive. With this place we have been able to create jobs and steady incomes for many families.
One of the houses is the Avocado house. The house is decorated with materials from the beach. It has a large double bedroom, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, television, refrigerator and an outside open-air private shower. The terrace with its huge lounge bed overlooks the tropical garden. Many hours can be spent relaxing here sipping on one of our freshly squeezed tropical juices. The place belongs partially to Huong. Unfortunately her husband and father in law drowned in the ocean in a fishing accident. She has two sons and can now support them with a wage and rent from the land.
