Volunteer at a natural farm in pak song

Pak song (ranong), Thailand

The Activity

  • Immerse yourself in farming life and learn about natural building and natural ways of living
  • Help with planting new trees, harvesting of the crops and building up our Center
  • Get to learn all about permaculture and natural ways of building with bamboo, clay and stones
  • Enjoy life close to nature!
  • Duration: 5 days
  • Fixed starting day is every Wednesday

Are you interested in how to build a house out of natural materials or are you more interested in natural ways of living? Come and volunteer at our center and learn about it.

The center is a place where anyone who is interested in natural building and sustainable living are welcome to join or visit. As a volunteer you can get some hands on experience and help us continue to build up and maintain the center. We believe that if we can build our own home we can also grow much of our own food. Therefore we started our permaculture (harmonious farming) project which we proudly promote and spread this idea to others… as we enjoy eating our own healthy food.

I welcome volunteers to help, learn and share with us at the building center as well as the sustainable farming project. Volunteer will be scheduled to work on different building works on site and work on our permaculture land. On the land you can help with planting new trees and building walking ways to ease the caring of the trees, harvesting of the crops and experimenting with more varieties on our piece of land which we prepare for a permaculture way of farming. Permaculture means growing many varieties of plants together as a goal of minimizing environmental impact and helping each other in their nutritional needs.

We want to be an example of using clay, bamboo, stones and other natural materials to build by building our center where anyone can come and learn or share with us. We also run projects with locals, supporting them with our experience and with labor through the hands of our volunteer.

You can arrive every Wednesday morning. Often Wednesday evening we join a welcome buffet at a neighboring organization. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will work on projects during daytime. Mondays and Tuesdays is our weekend. You are able to stay for free and explore the surroundings if you wish.

You will stay in a small Thai style house run by my family. The place is located in a beautiful garden overlooking the river. The rooms are simple and clean. You will share a room with no more than 4 people. The beds have mattresses, covers, mosquito nets and pillows. (Bring your own sheet and sleeping bag if you prefer). Furthermore we have three toilets and shower rooms available. During the day you will be pampered with three delicious home cooked meals. We have electricity (220V) and Wi-Fi available.
