This cycle tour will take you through the alleys and different neighborhoods of Dar es Salaam (also called Dar), which gives you a perfect feeling of Swahili culture. The neighborhoods of Dar are a blend of Persian, Indian, Arab of Oman, British and German influences.
The trip takes around 3 to 4 hours and will cover around 15 km. We will stop at a local Swahili family and you have the chance to see how the traditional chapatti, coffee and kashata is made. We will also visit a ghetto theater and a traditional healer. You can see the local products at the Tandale market.
The trip can be done by anyone who can cycle. You don’t need to be a regular cyclist. It is a perfect fit for newcomers as well as tourists and those who live in the suburbs of Dar Es Salaam city.
