Life in Digana is peaceful. With spectacular views of the Victoria reservoir, the domestic farm is a community-based project with sustainability as its core that provides you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in typical village life. Whether it is incense making, going fishing with a local fisherman, learning how to cook typical Sri Lankan dishes, help at the farm or install a water tank for a local family, we can guarantee you will have a real, local experience you will not forget. The accommodation is on a full board basis and all village activities are included.
The buildings of the farm have been made by village craftsmen and designed to reflect typical village homes as far as possible. Modern toilets and showers have been included for your comfort. There is a common dining room, and you are very welcome to help in the kitchen and cook on a traditional wood stove. All our meals are prepared with locally sourced products.
There is a good bus service from Kandy to Digana, (654 Route). There are also plenty of tuk tuks available from Digana and Kandy and we have parking space on the property.
