Description

DESCRIPTION

We shall start the tour by visiting Kimironko market, home to a huge covered market teeming with people and the most wonderful stalls. This is where we shall buy the groceries which will be used in the cooking process. I'll show you the ins and outs of the biggest local market in Kigali, where vendors sell everything you can imagine, from fruit and vegetables to cloth to gorgeous jewelry and craft products. A harum scarum experience unless you have a good local guide!

I will show you how we Rwandans do our shopping, and show you how we bargain for a fair deal. Then after all that we shall drive home (motorbike or car) which is around 5 minutes’ drive. On the arrival I will introduce you to my wonderful grandma who will help us in cooking process and she will show you what she usually spend her time on, her traditional weaving.

Then we shall start cooking together while enjoying a good taste of coffee or tea. While we laugh and get to know each other, you will learn how a real Rwandan home cooked meal is made. Your tastebuds will surely thank you for the expertise. You can impress your friends back home with your local knowledge of east African cooking! Once the food is ready we shall all gather together and share the food while telling some stories.
