- Camp on the beach or sleep overnight in a homestay
- Explore the jungle covered mountains and see a rich diversity of wildlife
- Get a peek into the daily life of the local people living on this island
- Swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters
- Duration: 2 days
- Maximum number of participants is 6
During these two days you will experience Palaui in full. You will hike through lush green mountains, visit the old lighthouse, and enjoy the sounds of the jungle that is home to thousands of tropical birds and mammals, snorkel in crystal clear waters with colorful fish and camp overnight at the beach. If camping is a bit too adventurous you can stay overnight in the village homestay. With only a small community living in the island, Palaui is a largely uninhabited island.
Palaui Island itself is amazing. It is mentioned as one of the best beaches in the Philippines by CNN. It is a protected area which makes the place pristine with its green tropical hills, crystal clear waters and unique and endangered species of flora and fauna. Seventy percent of the island is covered with tropical forest. You can reach the island by taking a flight to Tuguegarao from where you can take a 3-hour ride to St. Ana and San Vincente port.
This activity is part of a community-based sustainable tourism project in Palaui Island and by participating in it you will economically motivate local people to take care of the pristine ecosystems of the island. The local people are trained in being a (snorkeling or hiking) guide or use their other skills to offer to travelers.
