In the northern part of the Philippines is a pristine island called Palaui. CNN mentioned it as one of the best beaches in the Philippines. Very few places in the Philippines are as pristine and yet as accessible as Palaui Island. It boosts of tropical birds and mammals and mountains covered with lush green tropical forest. The surrounding reefs, mangroves and tidal flats hold a wide range of species including some that are not even known to science. You will discover the northern part of Cape Engaño with its old lighthouse, amazing views and waterfalls. We will have a picnic lunch along the way.
The island itself is for seventy percent covered with tropical forest. As the area is protected it makes is a very pristine place with jungle-covered mountains, deep blue sea and a unique mix of flora and fauna. You can reach the island by taking a flight to Tuguegarao from where you can take a 3-hour ride to St. Ana and San Vincente port.
You can combine this activity with a stay on the island in a traditional family home or one of the other activities we offer.
This activity is part of a community-based sustainable tourism project in Palaui Island and by participating in it you will economically motivate local people to take care of the pristine ecosystems of the island. The local people are trained in being a (snorkeling or hiking) guide or use their other skills to offer to travelers.
