Meet Amrit

Ask a question

I am Amrit Tiwari. I am the founder of a childrens home in Pokhara, CEO of a social enterprise hotel and a trekking company. We have started to run the enterprises aiming to empower the children and the women. There are so many ways that we can contribute. I feel very honored that with a small contribution via one of our experiences we are able to operate the ongoing cost of the charity.

I really like that the cooking class supports children’s development. The course was fun and the Momos excellent. Amrit followed up via email with detailed recipes. We had hoped to make Dal bhat and momos, but it is one of the two you can choose from.

It was such a pleasure to spend time with Amrit. He told us about how he built the children's home in Pokhara and it was truly inspiring it to hear. When it came to learning how to cook momos, Amrit was a great teacher. It was a really memorable afternoon for us and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Pokhara,

In a nutshell; we loved Amrit's momo class & highly recommend it. The history of the project itself is fascinating. And Amrit & Tulasi, who also works at the Children's Home, were fun to spend the time with & great teachers. The food we made together tasted brilliant & we'll be sure to recreate it with fond memories.

My Dhal Bhat cooking experience was truly amazing! Amrit was very kind and flexible in my spontaneous booking request. After picking me up and a short drive he explained me everything about his charity and the upcoming cooking session! I was also able to meet two very sweet kids that were were very curious and nice to talk with. The Dhal Bhat we cooked was one of the best I had during my stay in Nepal! (I had probably at least 15!!) I highly recommend this cooking class! 5/5! #dhalbhatpower

I had an amazing time learning how to cook Dal Bhat - and it tasted wonderful! Amrit is so friendly and a very inspiring person. It was so cool to see the children home he had founded and to hear all the thoughts behind it. Amrit is also really good at english, and he is very easy to speak with. In the morning he picked me up at my hotel and we made it in time to say Hello to the kids before they went to school. Then we started cooking and they where so helpful and they explained every process. I can really recommend it. If you go there in the evening you can cook with the children. That would have been really cool as well.
