Did you know that Morocco produces some good quality wines? Well, I will show you the Meknes region, one of Morocco’s oldest wine producing areas, during this wine tasting trip near Fez.

Travel into this scenic region between the Rif and Middle Atlas Mountains, and admire the green vineyards. We will visit one or two wineries where you can sample various wines. The wine makers will teach you about the flavors and aromas and share their passion. After the tasting we will finish with a traditional Moroccan lunch and of course you will have the chance some of your favorite bottles!

Price includes:

  • Private 6-hour winery and wine tasting tour
  • Private air-conditioned transport, and hotel pickup and drop-off in Fez included
  • Lunch
  • English, french or Spanish, private driver

Meet Lahcen

Member since: November 2018

Hi, my name is Lahcen and I run an initiative where I work together with local people in villages around Fez to show our traditional culture and get a peek into our daily lives. I have been a chef at some of the top restaurants in Fez. I can teach you how to buy produce in the souks, and can explain the interplay of Moroccan ingredients. I inherited most of my gastronomic know-how from my mother, who organizes an annual festival of couscous near the small mountain village where I grew up. She’s the queen of couscous!
