Sabaidee! My name is Markus and I live in the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang. In 2007 I started my own company initiative because I saw an opportunity for the tourism sector to support remote villages around Luang Prabang. Laos is still a hidden paradise and I believe it is essential to take care of this fragile heritage. We aim to do this by generating alternative income from tourism for local residents, engaging in cultural exchange between tourists and locals, promoting education, and developing infrastructure together with local residents.

We were pleased by our trip through the jungle, the mountains and the villages with our guide Mr. Cha. He was really nice, friendly, and helpful. He was keen to explain to us nature and everyday life in the villages, though he gave us some privacy when needed. We would definitely recommend this walk!

We had such an amazing time during our two day trekking around Luang Prabang. Thong was extremely welcoming and friendly. The nature is really mind blowing and Thong also stopped every now and then to tell us about the different kinds of plants and trees around us. He was extremely knowledgeable. Besides this he also told us a lot about his life in the village when he was young, about his family who live in Luang Prabang. We stopped in a local village where Thong was very well known and we enjoyed delicious noodles wrapped in banana leaf. After a number of hours of the most incredibly scenic but challenging at times hike we arrived at Hoify Village where we spent the night in a very basic homestay which was an absolute treat. We enjoyed dinner cooked by the local family and Thong translated our questions to the lovely family we were staying with. The next day we also did some kayaking which was great fun. Thong was a fantastic guide who was extremely friendly and open but also very knowledgeable and safe which was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for a fantastic two days Thong!

We had an amazing time doing the trek. We went trough the forest and visited villages in the mountains. Our tourguide lived in a village like this, so he knew a lot about how people live there. We stayed in a bigger village down the mountain. There was no electricity or shower and we stayed with a family. The family made us a nice dish in the evening and morning. The next day we continued our trek to the waterfalls.
