Description

DESCRIPTION

This experience will give you a great insight into our Lao food culture and family-old recipes.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 9 AM to go to the Phosy market where you will meet the lady of the family. She will explain different types of ingredients you will use for the dishes you are going to make. After buying some fresh and organic ingredients like fish, and vegetables for the cooking class you will head to the family's house. You will receive a warm welcome from all the family members before you start your cooking class experience.

You will make dishes like Noung Khao (steam sticky rice), Bamboo shoot soup (Keang Nor Mai), Steam fish in the banana leaves (Mok Pa), Luang Prabang stew (Ork Lam) and Eggplant sauce (Jeo Mak Kheua). You will get insights into the traditional cooking methods and cook on a fire stove.

Once finished you will enjoy your lunch together with the family while trying a sip of locally brewed Lao whiskey made from sticky rice. Share stories and leave with great memories.

Starting time: 9 AM- 2 PM or 4 PM- 8 PM
