My name is Nelson and I am a Maasai who started this safari camp next to the Masai Mara to support my local Maasai community and finance a conservancy so that wildlife can roam around freely again. The camp is in the middle of Maasai land so that you can easily interact with them too besides doing a safari. We are one of the few safari camps in the hands of local people. 80% of the safari camps and lodges are owned by foreigners.
If you are interested in including this accommodation into a complete itinerary through Kenya off the beaten track and customized to your needs then you can take this quick quiz. You will then receive a custom-built itinerary in your inbox and pick what you like.
I started this safari camp close to the Sekenani gate in the Masai Mara 10 years ago. All the profit of the camp is going to the local Maasai community and to finance the conservancy that we are protecting. At this moment we are planning to create a water pump that provides even more community members with fresh water.
The camp exist of 6 tents and a few bandas. The camp is built in the middel of the Maasai community which makes it easy to interact with them. We can organize game drives in the Masai Mara, walking safaris and every evening there will be story telling from one of our local masai members. If you wish you can even volunteer at the local school that we have built and is giving the kids from the community access to education.
The food we serve is prepared with love and let you taste some authentic Kenyan food. We will serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We can organize transportation for you from Nairobi to Masai Mara if you wish. You can also book another reliable driver & local guide, Shadrack, who knows his way around in the Masai Mara very well. You can click hereto book him.
