One of the most memorable and fantastic experiences we have had in our many travels. Owned and run by the Maasai community, the lodge was made with all local materials which makes it fit into the environment, surrounded by a beautiful landscape.
They honoured us by inviting us to one of their community villages which was a wonderful experience and the last night we all danced to the Maasai songs, a memory that will stay with us forever!
Meals were just right, the game drives and bush walks, a great experience. The rooms are all open with the exception of one wall (yes, I have to confess that the first night was a bit jumpy!), the bathroom also has only one semi-wall but the shower has lots of hot water!
We saw dozens of elephants and giraffes from the balcony of our room; and many other animals while walking or driving around. They have a rhino sanctuary, with 2 white rhinos, and we were able to see them at close range (around 4 metres, no fences!). You feel absolutely save with the Maasai people!
Thanks to all our hosts: Jackie, James, Fred Ikoil, Sam Moloi (my adopted son!) an
