DESCRIPTIONNagaland, the wild-east of India. This trip will take you through this undiscovered part of India with its primeval beauty, dazzling hills and valleys, and where, until very recently, some 16-odd headhunting Naga tribes valiantly fought off any intruders. Come spend a week here enjoying warm Naga Hospitality, learn local agricultural practices, savour some local brews and dig into some delectable cuisine and a lot more! At the start of your trip you will be warmly welcomed by your local host Ms. Mezhu. You will have time to settle down into your homestay, chat a bit and enjoy a home cooked Naga meal. The next morning you will wake-up and be served a delicious breakfast. Today you will earn about the villages unique history, the Angami tribes men, the Morungs and try on some traditional costumes if you like! Learn about the famous seige laid by the Japanese troops here during the Second World War. Retire at night by a cosy bon fire. After a good night sleep you will have the chance to experience living like a local. You can learn how to sow paddies at the terrace farms and enjoy a lunch of local wine tasting, rice beer and smoked meats. The following day you will learn how Naga baskets are woven, crockery is made out of bamboo and clothes are woven by the locals in the village. Try your hand at weaving your own basket as a souvenir! You can also learn how to weave one of those super cool Naga shawls that are worn by the locals here! On your final full day you will visit the capital city of Kohima and marvel at its splendid landscape, the famous cathedrals and spend some time at the local market! The next morning it is time to say goodbye.
