I spent a wonderful 4 hours with Payal who profoundly changed my view on food and healthy eating. Firstly we went to her local grain and spices stores, where I finally understood, why gluten intolerances are not an issue in India and experienced the freshness of spices (no little bottles on a supermarket shelf!!). We then went to the fruit and vegetable market where we choose our preferred ingredients for our dinner. Back at her homestay there was a specially dedicated area for our cooking lesson. I was preparing together with my mother in law all the ingredients, whereas Payal as a friend and guide gave instructions and so much information, that at times I feared to forget it. Thank god she provided us with recipes and while cooking at home, all her valuable advice comes flooding back. She did not only teach us the basics, but so many little tricks to save effort, time and prevent burn marks.
I truly recommend this cooking lesson with Payal, as I felt her passion and knowledge for food as well as being chatty, friendly and welcoming.
One of my highlights of my recent visit to India.

Payal's passion for cooking is just admirable! We toured with her trough the city of Jaipur in the evening visiting small food stalls, and sampling different local snacks while listening to the background stories of traditional dishes.
Payal is incredibly passionate, and we had a great time laughing over cooking an Indian dinner with her, too.
We learned so much about Indian cuisine, city, and culture thanks to Payal's rich knowledge! Very recommended!
