We will take you on a true food journey through the narrow lanes via colourful and scintillating markets to our most popular eateries. It will be a journey through gastronomic India. You begin with masala chai at Kashi Café, in readiness for a boat ride, after which you get a famous taste of the south – bondas, dahi vadas and uttapam as only the dosawallah in Vishwanath gali can make them. The walk then reaches Godowlia, with its many thandai shops. Then I will let you try some chaat, world famous in India! There are many chaat shops, who often handed down their recipes from generations.
Then there’s Sunil Jalpaan, where you can enjoy delicious chhena vada, launglata and lassi. Pehelwaan Lassi near Banaras Hindu University serves the city’s thickest lassi, iced with creamy rabri! You will love it!
But there is more: you will get to taste some amazing kachoris and jalebi. Chachi Jalebi is renowned, for more than 80 years, for their kachoris and jalebis. This walk is not only the best way to get a taste of India's cuisine, but also of this extraordinary city!
