Ever wondered about the serene orange-clad monks who walk the streets of Siem Reap?
Have you wondered about life in their sandals? What it must be like, what their vows are, how they survive not eating after 12.00 noon? Now is your chance to experience the life of a monk.
This is a 3-day experience that will give you a deeper understanding of Buddhism, meditation and life as a monk.
The first day you will be picked-up from your hotel at 8.30 am and brought to the pagoda where you will stay the next few days. You will get an introduction into Buddhism and life of Buddha. At 10 am you will have a meditation session for one-hour after which you will enjoy lunch with the monks and noun women and men. At 2 pm another aspect of Buddhism will be taught followed by a meditation session at the end of the day. At 5 pm the day is finished and you will have some free time. Be aware that the monks are not having dinner.
The next morning starts at 7.30 am with a communal breakfast. At 8 am some new Buddhism lessons will be given and the rest of the days looks similar as day one.
On the final day you will leave the pagoda at 2 pm and be brought to another pagoda where you will receive a water blessing and see more activities monks are doing. At 4 pm you will be brought back to your hotel.
